Japanese breakfast

We eat boiled rice for breakfast.
Japanese breakfast We also eat natto, fermented soy beans, miso soup and salted salmon or other kind of dried fish and Nori, sea weed.
They are mother's taste, and good for health.
Bud nowadays, many people eat bread, ham and egg, salad and yogurt.

  Okonomiyaki (Hiroshima style)  


(four servings)
A-1cup flour
   -baking powder 1/2tea spoon
   -a pinch of salt
   -2cups soup stock or water

        8 sliced pork
        8 cabbage leaves
        2 packs bean sprouts
        1/2 cup green onion
        tenkasu, small pieces of tenpura batter
        4 eggs
        dried bonito shavings
        okonomi sauce
        mayonneise
        salada oil

    How to cook
(1)Mix A well.
(2)Cut cabbage as thin as possible.
(3)Spread A onto hot plate, pile cabbage,bean sprouts,
Tenkasu, green shredded onion and meet.
    Press well.
(4)Spread A over (3) and torn it over to cook both side.
(5)Torn back Okonomiyaki and put fried egg on top of it.
(6)Sprinkle dried bonito shavings or brush it with mayonnaise.




grapes W e have very mild climate in Mihara even in winter.
So we harvest lots of Mikans, mandarline orange, and they are not expensive.
The fruits that are not expensive in Singapore, they are usually quite expensive in Japan.
We have some other fruits like pear, peach, grapes, strawberry, fig, loquat and so on.
